Capital Raising
Hedge Fund Capital Raising
Helping early-stage managers raise their first $50 to $200 million from institutional investors.
Hedge Fund Capital Raising
We act as your outsourced capital raising partner. We define your positioning, identify the right investor universe, and run a disciplined outreach process on your behalf.
This is not a list of introductions and a handshake. We manage the pipeline from first contact through allocation, providing meaningful introductions with carefully vetted, high-quality institutional prospects.
Who This Is For
Emerging and early-stage hedge fund managers, typically sub-$500M AUM, raising their first institutional capital. Strategy focus: systematic, CTA, macro, FX, commodities, and liquid alternatives.
We are selective on long/short equity. We do not work with illiquid credit, private equity, or venture strategies.
What’s Included

The process
How It Works
Fit assessment
Every manager goes through due diligence before we take them on. We look at track record quality, risk discipline, operational infrastructure, team stability, and fit with our allocator network. If there is no allocator fit, we will say so upfront rather than waste your time.
Positioning and materials
We review how the strategy is being described and rebuild it where it is not landing. Positioning, messaging, and the pitch materials an allocator will actually read before the first call.
Targeting and managed outreach
We qualify the investor universe and run the outreach ourselves. Every introduction is hand-selected rather than drawn from a mailing list, and it goes out with the context the allocator needs to say yes to a meeting.
Pipeline through to allocation
We manage the pipeline from first contact through allocation: follow-up, feedback back to you, and iteration on the positioning as the market responds.
Before You Engage
A placement mandate assumes these are already in place:
- Audited or verified track record
- Pitch deck
- DDQ
- Tearsheet
- Fund legal structure confirmed
- Auditor and administrator appointed
If you are pre-launch and still building this, the advisory engagement is the right starting point.
Who We Introduce You To
UK and European family offices, fund of hedge funds, institutional wealth managers, and select Middle East and Asia allocators.
Specific names are confidential. We can speak to allocator type and ticket size ranges once we are engaged.
Questions
Before you ask
How long does a capital raise take?
Expect 6 to 18 months from first introduction to funded allocation. Institutional allocators have multi-stage due diligence processes and committee cycles. Anyone promising faster is selling you something that will not happen.
Do you guarantee a raise?
No. Any firm that guarantees capital is either misleading you or operating outside regulatory lines. We commit to introductions, feedback, and iteration on positioning.
What is your commercial model?
Retainer plus success fee for capital raising mandates. We do not take equity and we do not work on pure contingency.
Do you sign exclusivity agreements?
Usually yes, either jurisdiction-specific or allocator-specific exclusivity for the duration of the mandate. Terms are negotiable and scoped to fit your existing relationships.
How is this different from a traditional placement agent?
Traditional placement agents focus on managers with $250M+ in AUM and rely on scale and mailing lists. We work with fewer managers, earlier in their lifecycle, and every introduction is hand-selected. We take on a handful of managers a year because our reputation depends on every manager we put in front of an allocator.
Do you work with US-based managers?
Vibe works with managers based globally. The strategy fit is more important than the geographical location of the manager.
